About Gaggle of Nouns, and Jesse, it’s creator!

Welcome to About Gaggle of Nouns! Hi, I’m Jesse, as you probably already guessed. I’m the brains, the beard, and sometimes the chaos behind Gaggle of Nouns.

I’ve always loved words, humor, and the strange ways language evolves. With a creative spark (and a bit of mischief), I started this project to showcase collective nouns in a way that’s both fun, entertaining, and educational. This has been a dream of mine for quite some time and it’s incredible to see it finally coming together. Much of this started as a fun game with my brother decades ago when we were children. Now, many years later, the fun has continued but now with my own children (biological and foster).

Our family is blessed (and a little chaotic). My wife, our daughter, our 3 foster kids, and even our grandson all inspire me to create something bigger than myself. Foster care has been a huge part of our journey. The three boys we’re caring for now are all half-brothers, and keeping them together has been one of the most important things we’ve ever done. The state does what it can, but kids like these deserve more.. more laughter, more love, and more opportunity. That’s a big reason this site exists. To say things can get a little chaotic at times is a bit of an understatement but it’s home. It’s family (and we make quite the diverse group; Caucasian, Asian, Hispanic, Black). It’s love.

But this isn’t just for them, it’s for you too! My mom gave me the gift of laughter. She could light up a room and make anyone smile, and I want to pass that along. Through stories, humor, and projects like this, I hope to bring a little joy to your day, and maybe even a bit of inspiration.

This site is also about legacy, leaving something meaningful for our kids, grandkids, foster children, and for anyone who comes across it. Whether you’re here to learn, laugh, or just enjoy something lighthearted, you’re part of that legacy too.

If you have any questions, or perhaps you have a hilarious collective noun of your own, please feel free to Contact Us and let us know!

Thanks for joining our flock!
